Dangerous Objects of Urban Infrastructure in the Estimates of Kaluga’s residents
As a result of sprawl and commercialization of urban spaces, dysfunctions of urban infrastructure arise and socially dangerous facilities. The purpose of this work was to identify them through an online survey of Kaluga residents. According to the study, the population is concerned about the presence of socially dangerous infrastructure facilities in the city and is not sufficiently informed about environmental risks. The results confirmed the dependence between the quality of life of citizens, expressed through their acceptance or rejection of their area (satisfaction), assessments of its well–being and safety and fixation of the presence of socially dangerous objects in it. At the same time, the hypothesis of unequal sensitivity to the presence of socially dangerous objects of occupied and unoccupied, young and elderly citizens, is rejected. There are noticeable differences between the city and the suburbs in sensitivity to various types of dangerous infrastructure. The results obtained are useful both theoretically for the further development of the social ecology of cities, and practically for making appropriate management decisions at the municipal level.
