Alternatives for the Development of Energy Supply in the Regions of Eastern Siberia and the Far East in Light of Ensuring Energy Security and Greening Their Development

The article examines the energy supply of the regions of Eastern Siberia and the Far East from the point of view of ensuring their energy security and greening of development. It is noted that different subjects of the Russian Federation have developed different fuel and energy balances, as well as energy and fuel supply systems. In most of the regions under consideration, they rely on coal as the main fuel, which has significant environmental consequences. Analysis of the fuel and energy balances of the territories together with plans for their gasification, programs for the development and modernization of energy and heat supply facilities, as well as taking into account a number of other factors (climate change, physical and cost availability of various types of fuel and energy supply systems in individual regions) allows us to build a spatial picture of energy supply at the current moment and classify regions by the most preferred types of fuel for the future.
