Implementation of remanufacturing at enterprises of the mechanical engineering industry

This article examines the relevance of implementing a circular economy business model such as remanufacturing into the production processes of mechanical engineering companies. The importance of this task stems from the fact that modern mechanical engineering faces a number of systemic challenges that require a revision of traditional approaches to the production and operation of industrial equipment. The paper focuses on the environmental aspects of modernizing the mechanical engineering complex, including reducing resource intensity in production, implementing remanufacturing technologies, and developing closed-loop material management systems. The proposed solutions are aimed not only at improving the economic efficiency of enterprises but also at minimizing environmental damage by reducing production waste, lowering energy consumption, and expanding the use of secondary resources. This integrated approach allows for the harmonization of economic and environmental development priorities in the industry, which is particularly relevant in the context of the
transition to a low-carbon economy.
