The level of development of behavioral economics in Russia and abroad. (Review)

The review examines the emergence and institutionalization of behavioral economics as a new direction of economic thought, presents the most important works, scientific communities and journals in this field. An example of a study in the field of behavioral economics is given, dedicated to the study of differences in the value orientation of residents of urban and rural areas of European countries. The advantages of using behavioral economics approaches in theoretical constructions and practical activities, as well as its most criticized sides, are shown. The reasons for the weak development of research in the field of behavioral economics in Russia in comparison with foreign countries are discussed.
