Deprofessionalization of the labor force: stages, threats and directions for overcoming

The peculiarity of the current stage of transformation of the social and labor sphere is the spread of flexible and unstable forms of employment, which are accompanied by changes in the conditions, intensity and quality of work. One of the consequences of this process is the erosion of professional identity and the loss of a number of professional competencies by workers. Based on a retrospective analysis, the article highlights the stages of deprofessionalization of labor resources in Russia and its negative effects. The need for additional balancing of the labor market, increasing the status and prestige of qualified specialists of various profiles is emphasized. In this regard, it is proposed to improve the institutions of worker solidarity, integrate independent trade unions in solving the problems of formation, professional development and rational use of the labor force.
