Regional payment integration: world experience and lessons for the EAEU

An important area of regional economic integration of developing countries and countries with emerging market economies is the creation of a common payment space and a common cross-border payment system. The article discusses regional payment systems operating within the framework of regional integration associations in Latin America, Africa and Asia, their features and problems. It is concluded that the world experience of integration in the field of settlement and payment relations can be useful for the development of mutual trade and cooperation in other areas of the economy, as well as for solving the most acute regional socio-economic problems of the Eurasian Economic Union.
