Problems of formation of the sociocultural environment of the northern city

The article considers a set of features of the development of the northern city space, which are determined by the discrepancy between economic and demographic growth rates and the depressed socio-cultural environment. The northern city is becoming unattractive for residents under the influence of dynamic migration processes and the marginalization of urban space. The negative identity of the inhabitants of the northern region should be purposefully adjusted to maintain adaptation and rooting.
