Impact of mass media on the financial sector: effects, opportunities, risks
The impact of mass media on the development of the financial sector has long been the subject of study and discussion in the academic community. In the era of globalization of the world economy and universal digitalization, the relevance of this topic has increased due to the integration of national financial markets and information and news spaces, as well as technological innovations that have led to the emergence of new digital media and ways of providing financial services. The research of foreign and Russian scientists concerning the interaction between the media and financial intermediaries is characterized by diverse approaches and methods of analysis. The materials presented in the review article reflect, in our opinion, the most interesting and convincing evidence of the hypothesis about the impact of media content on the expectations of financial market participants and consumers of financial services.
